The foundations of our work

Traditional Skills. Exceptional Attention to Detail.

A memorial is more than a shape cut from granite. Its proportions, carved details, lettering and finish must work together beautifully, with the strength and suitability required for its resting place.

Stone Selection and Shaping

Choosing appropriate granite or other suitable memorial stone, refining its proportions and creating classic or distinctive silhouettes.

Carving and Sculpture

From traditional roses, crosses and carved borders to elaborate angels, hearts and individually commissioned sculptural work.

Lettering and Finishing

Thoughtfully arranged inscriptions, precise engraving, carefully selected lettering finishes and polished stone surfaces.

Genuine memorial craftsmanship

Real Stonework. Real Skill.

These genuine memorial photographs demonstrate the breadth of traditional and specialist stonework available through Magic Memorials and our manufacturing partners.

Photographs include workshop and completed memorial examples. Individual designs, materials and installation depend on manufacturing assessment and burial ground requirements.

Craftsmanship is our foundation

Traditional Memorials Deserve Their Own Recognition.

Not every family wants a photographic memorial or an elaborate sculpture. A classic polished granite headstone, a beautifully engraved name and a few carefully chosen words can be exactly the right tribute.

We are proud to provide traditional headstones, churchyard memorials, cremation tablets, book memorials, crosses and carefully carved designs. We give the same attention to straightforward memorials as we do to ambitious commissions.

Our team can help with granite colours, inscriptions and headstone prices.

We are not here to replace traditional stonemasonry. We are here to preserve its strengths and build upon them.

Professional care from beginning to end

Craftsmanship Is Also About Responsibility.

Choosing a memorial is a deeply personal decision. We understand that families need more than beautiful stonework. They need clear answers, patient guidance and confidence that the practical details will be handled properly.

Questions about our craftsmanship

Master Stonemasonry: Your Questions Answered.

Do Magic Memorials supply traditional headstones?

Yes. We supply traditional granite headstones, churchyard memorials, classic inscriptions and decorative stonework alongside bespoke and modern memorial designs.

Can you make an unusual or sculpted memorial?

We can assess bespoke commissions, including carved angels, shaped hearts, specialist sculptures and custom granite forms. Feasibility depends on materials, construction and burial ground requirements.

Do I have to use MMIT or AI design technology?

No. Traditional memorials are a core part of our service. MMIT and the Designer offer additional choices, not requirements.

Can you help with a memorial design from a sketch?

Yes. Our team can review sketches, reference photographs and digital concepts and explain what can realistically be made in stone.

Can you help with cemetery and churchyard regulations?

Yes. We help establish the relevant memorial sizes, material restrictions, permit requirements and installation arrangements for the intended burial ground.

Do you arrange professional fitting throughout the UK?

We coordinate professional memorial fitting across the UK, subject to the burial ground, location, access and specific memorial requirements.

How much does a traditional or bespoke memorial cost?

Prices depend on stone, size, design complexity, inscriptions, carving, personalisation, fitting and any burial ground fees. We provide a quotation based on the proposed memorial.
